Enyd Williams (standing, right) presents Joan Matheson (Mrs Hudson) with celebratory flowers at the end of recording the final short story The Retired Colourman.

At producer-director Williams' request, the scriptwriter included cameo appearances for Lestrade and Mycroft as well as Holmes' and Watson's landlady, to give an air of completion to the final short-story episode.
