Clive
Merrison's many theatre
appearances have included The Madness of George the
Third at the Royal National Theatre, The Front Page
at the Old Vic and Much Ado About Nothing for the
Royal Shakespeare Company.
His films include An Awfully Big Adventure,
Heavenly Creatures, Photographing Fairies,
The English Patient and The Sign of Four (as
Bartholomew Sholto, with Ian Richardson as Holmes).
Among many other TV appearances, he has been seen in in
Yes, Prime Minister, Miss Marple, Dr Who, The
Borgias, The Labours of Erica, A Very British Coup, Pie in the
Sky, Shine on Harvey Moon, Private Schultz and
Bergerac. He starred opposite Michael Williams in the
sitcom Double First.
Clive Merrison is a past winner of the Sony Radio Award
for Actor of the Year.
